Zephaniah Peter began his career in the hotel industry but God’s hand soon led him to study B.Th. from Hindusthan Bible College, Serampore University and B. Div.from Leonard Theological College, Serampore University. He was also trained in Haggai International, Singapore. His 30+ years of experience in full time ministry since completing B.Th. in 1981, has been multi-facetedand multi-dimensional in its scope and influence.He has beena Trainer for Pastors / Evangelists with organizationssuch asFMPB for14 yrs,andBible League – aUSA based international Mission Organisation for12 years. He has trained Church Planters in 5 Languages andhas also servedasNational Faculty for HI as well asConference Speaker for EGFand YFC.

Pastor Zephaniahhas been serving the Union Chapel English Congregation as Associate Pastor, since Nov 2015. He is a versatile and talented linguist, Bible expositor and musician. His desire for the systematic teaching of God’s word –“line upon line and precept upon precept”, is noteworthy and to have him on the Pastoral Staff of UC is a blessing to the church at large.

His mature counselling and mentoring of both adults and youth attracts to him brings many who are confused and in need of sound biblical counselling. His vision to mobilize the Church for prayer and Bible study, is evident in the steadily growing number of participants.

Under his leadership, the church launched a dedicated service in Aug 2016, to meet the needs of the Hindi speaking people of the city.

His wife Jhonsy and daughterRatna Lois are an integral part of his ministry and work alongside him in the pastoral care. Mrs Jhonsy is active in the Women’s Christian Fellowship of the Church. Sheis a prayer warrior and a silent encourager and friend, whose warm personality and humility has touched and blessed many in the congregation. Ratna has an M.Sc. in Counselling Psychology andis a very creative designer. She is pro-active like her father and is actively involved in the Children’s Ministry as well as in theYouth Ministry of the church, besides also serving on the Worship Team and Choir.
